Our Pikler Triangle Climber is a versatile wooden play product used for motor skills development and open ended play. This design cleverly folds down easily, and adheres to Australian/New Zealand safety standards.

Activities and play with the Pikler Triangle help to build concentration, self-confidence, autonomy, achievement, and cognitive ability, as well as advancing motor skills in:

  • Experimentation of body in place and space

Dr Emmi Pikler was a Hungarian Pediatrician who developed a new theory of child development in the 1930s/40s, based on allowing the child to move freely and develop at his or her own pace. Hence the Pikler Triangle.

The Pikler Triangle Climber can also become an imaginative play space, a barrier, a hut, a play gym to hang other toys on … or even a clothes airier.

Our product adheres to NZ / AU safety standards including maximum overall height, rung distances (to ensure child safety for head and body parts when climbing), and routed/sanded smooth edges. Considered and tested design is very important to us.
